damart2 In the UK, over 44,000 women are diagnosed with breast cancer each year. This is an alarming rate but thanks to research, survival rates for breast cancer are improving all the time. Though research is vital in helping fight breast cancer, it can also be an expensive cause. Thus, it is wonderful to know that companies like Damart are playing a huge role to fund a three year research project at the University of Leeds. Damart’s partnership with Breast Cancer Campaign has raised over £95,000 since 2003 through sales of a limited edition pink thermal vest. Pink shorts and bed socks were added in 2008 to make a set, modelled by Coronation Street actress Samia Smith.

Yorkshire-based thermal and fashion specialist Damart is best known for its Thermal clothing which is available all year round. It also has also recently launched its new autumn winter 2009 collection with ladies wear ranging from size 8 – 32. If you check out the site, you’ll find the latest ladies fashion range which includes everything from everyday essentials to dresses for that special evening out. Other items available are footwear, menswear as well as household items.

Here’s your chance to help a good cause ~ shop at Damart and even if you only buy the socks you’ll be helping raise money for vital research.
