Bonnets and Caps

In the fashion world, the headdress is never overlooked. This aspect has always been an important part for designers. This part of the outfit serves as the compliment of the face of the wearer; it serves as the bridge of the outfit and the visage of the person wearing it. Moreover, it can also be as a protection against certain elements such as the heat of the sun or cold of winter. Two articles which serve this purpose are bonnets and caps.

Bonnets and caps are not merely fashion items that are used in designing and complementing an outfit. The bonnet could be useful in the cold. Being rather tight-fitted and its material being (most of the time) thick, this item could be a good agent in fighting the cold during winter. However, this item is not applicable all throughout the year, because winter is but one of the seasons (therefore, it is not always cold). An example of a season where this item is not applicable is summer. This time, wearing a bonnet would create discomfort to anyone; a cap and not a bonnet is useful during this season. Caps are best for summer because it is not too tight-fitting, its material is not that thick, and the hood of a cap can give a shade to the whole face of a person.

There are other headdresses that are meant for other purposes. It has to be said that the fashion world does not merely create items that can make one look good, it also makes sure that each item made is made for a purpose.
